Colure is a Montreal-based student artist collective.

Founded in 2018 by Claudia Goulet-Blais, Michelle Caron-Pawlowsky, and Laurène Smith, our objective is to integrate work by emerging artists into the Montreal art community through exhibitions and publications, and to provide a space for undergraduate fine art students from all disciplines to come together and collaborate.

Claudia Goulet-Blais

Co-Founder, Co-Director

Claudia Goulet-Blais is an image-based artist from Montreal who completed her BFA in Photography at Concordia University in 2021. Her work is a deconstruction of the self where image making is fuelled by witnessing gestures, expressions and reactions that transform through the act of performing oneself. She creates installations centred around the recontextualisation of the body. You can find her work on Instagram.

Michelle Caron-Pawlowsky

Co-Founder, Co-Director

Michelle Caron-Pawlowsky is a multidisciplinary artist from Montreal. Her research-based work centres long-term processes of healing, the sentimental value of objects and collections, and the mutable act of reconstructing memories over time. Her practice acts as a vehicle for a pilgrimage through personal mythologies and communal experiences. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Photography at Concordia University. You can find her work on her website or on Instagram.

Laurène Smith

Co-Founder, Co-Director
